Every now and then, a product comes along which looks like it takes its job seriously. It has nothing to do with the actual performance, but it is just made to look like a beast that can do everything in the blink of an eye. That’s what the Oster FPSTFP1355 2-Speed Food Processor looks like. Keep in mind this initial assessment is being made before I really examine all the capabilities this dude has. It’s got the right look, which is a good start.
10-cups At A Good Price
This isn’t the biggest processor on the market, but it does bring a lot to the table. The 10 cups should be enough to make most things, and if you consider the fact this machine runs for less than $50 for everything it can do, it’s looking like a promising prospect. A lot of comparable processors from bigger brands cost at least twice as much, so you’re doing pretty well with what this one has to offer as it is.
You get more than just on, off and pulse with this processor, but you won’t get the tons of options you can find on some of the higher end options. Expect two speeds and pulse, which are backed up by 500 watts of power. Considering the fact that the wattage on the motor is pretty good, it should be enough to get through everything I need it for. I’ve seen some pretty powerful motors turn out quite disappointing, but I haven’t seen any reports of that being much of a problem here.
Dough Blade On Board
I like machines that consider all the options, so this one coming with a dough blade will help me make sure I get all the perks I’m looking for, which is a pretty sweet deal. I like making bread for special occasions, but my back cannot handle the kneading needed by my favorite recipe. I think that means I have finally reached old status, or maybe old-ish. Yeah, old-ish. Regardless, I need an appliance that will do the trick, and if this one can handle dough, that’s totally worth a vote in its favor.
Put It All Together
Sometimes, I think I like the way things are when I’m not using them more than I like the way they are when I am. I mean, I love a good appliance, but I really love ones that pack up easily and don’t take up too much space under my counter. I also like things that aren’t too heavy, so they’re easy to take out and put back.
All of the pieces that come with this processor fit nicely beneath the lid so there aren’t pieces and parts all over the place. Everything is easy to find, and they’re kept clean because you cleaned the container before you piled them all in.
Keep It Clean, Boys
This is supposed to disassemble pretty easily for cleaning, which is another point in its favor. I’d prefer not to have to take everything apart to do it, but if that’s what it takes, at least I know it can be done. I need easy to use, and I need easy to clean. Ain’t nobody got time for anything else.
If you’re interested in giving this one a shot, and I can totally understand why you would be, you will get a lot of value for money.
