KitchenAid 9-Cup Food Processor Review

It’s Like The Little Brother Of The Gigantic Machines

A lot of kitchen appliances come in families. This means you can probably buy everything you want from a single line of products and have everything with a similar warranty and, if it matters to you, a similar look. That can be important when you’re trying to decide which food processor to buy because the families include appliances of all shapes and size. I found an amazing food processor with this super nifty slicing system all on board, the KitchenAid 13-Cup Processor with Exact Slice System, Empire Red, but it’s really big. I may need something that size every once in a while, but I’m not sure I need it often enough to make it worth the extra splurge.

KitchenAid 9cup

Imagine how happy I was to find out that in the same family of appliances is a smaller but very similar processor with all the same bells and whistles but a little less capacity up top. It saves me money up front and it saves me under-counter space. The KitchenAid KFP0933ER 9-Cup Food Processor with Exact Slice System does most of the cool things the bigger one does, but it’s more suited for the size of my family.

Why Go Smaller?

If you’re not sure what you can get by going bigger, check out my review of the 13-cup monster by heading right over here. Now, just think of that on a smaller scale. My mother would have needed one of the higher capacity. For the tools I need, 13 cups is a bit overkill any time of the year that isn’t the holidays.

The Things You Do Get

I won’t go into too much detail here because everything is pretty well spelled out in my post for the larger model, but you don’t lose features here. The only thing you lose is bowl space. You still get the special, adjustable slicing blade that lets you pick from minute pieces to big ol’ chunks. You get the super powerful motor that even lets you select your speed rather than just having on and off. What I really like is that you also get the powerful seal so messy people like me don’t make a big splash.

Totally Tubular

One of the really nice features is that even with the smaller size, you still get the multifunction lid which allow you to beef up the contents without breaking down the whole thing. You can remove the lid based on the size or texture of what you’re putting in and make sure your mixture looks like what you want without making a big mess. I like things that are clean. Better yet, I like things that help me stay clean when I’m so messy naturally.

Black Beauty

Whether you’re cooking for yourself or for the populations of several large countries combined, or at least a really large family, you can find one of these processors to get the job done. I like choices, and I love the colors this one comes in. If you’re on board for big features at a smaller price and in a slightly smaller size, you can get exactly what you need with this one.
